Healing Pilgrimage in Lucban, Quezon

Last February 23, 2008, about 15 members of the Flock of the Holy Spirit (FHS) Charismatic Community went to Barangay Tinamnan, Lucban, Quezon for a healing pilgrimage. They visited the Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church to witness and experience God’s healing power through Fr. Joey Faller, a healing priest who survived an accident in 1994 that damaged two of his fingers, which sparked the beginning of his healing ministry after learning that his hand now resembles the Sto. NiƱo. He celebrated mass on 9:00 am after which the actual healing session began in the jam-packed church. All those who attended have been personally prayed over by Fr. Faller’s healing touch, starting from those terminally ill up to people who were not sick.

Fr. Jade Licuanan, a FHS member turned priest, was also there to lead a pilgrimage from another group of people. Although, their pilgrimage was for a series of churches and Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church was their first stopover.

There was a slight delay in the trip going to Lucban because the jeepney’s broken fan belt needed to be repaired. It was still a blessing from God because Bro. Tony Tenedero, Head Elder of FHS, already instructed the driver to stop even before the fan belt’s failure. If the jeepney didn’t stopped earlier, there could been an oil leakage and the trip could have been delayed further. Also, it came to a halt at a stopover in Pililia, Rizal where a bulaluhan eatery can be found.

After the mass and healing session, the FHS members ascend to a hill beside the church called the Via Dolorosa Grotto of Healing and Purification. The hill has 292 steps, comprising life-size statues of the 14 Stations of the Cross that lead to a 50-foot statue of the Ascending Christ.
